Scott Uhr.

A message from Scott:

My family has been wholesaling and retailing diamonds and making jewelry for 60+ years, starting with my father and mother, Bernie and Flora.  In fact, they opened their first retail store in Havertown, Pennsylvania, which quickly became known as the place to go for jewelry and fine china.  As my parents’ clientele grew, they realized that working with clients to create special jewelry pieces was a special passion and they focused their time on that aspect of the business.  Over time, they eventually closed their store and instead traveled to clients to give each one the special and dedicated attention they deserved. 

Having grown up surrounded by jewelry, and after a short and boring stint in accounting after college, I started wholesaling diamonds (over 30 years ago!).  I initially focused on supplying jewelry stores with raw stones but over time realized that I could meet many peoples’ needs directly.  While my parents’ eventually stopped working full-time, my dad never fully retired and in fact, went to work with me every single day until the early 2000’s (when he was 98 years old!).  During that time, I not only worked with our family’s many long-time clients but grew my clientele, which now includes hundreds of clients spanning all over the world.  By incorporating my business with my father’s, I was able to not only supply raw stones but also work with clients to custom design jewelry of all types.  Today, I serve as the private jeweler to my clients, meeting a wide array of needs from jewelry design to repair to appraisal.
